Holding true to NABA’s motto of “Lifting As We Climb”, community service is a vital component of our success. The Community Relations Committee engages the Chapter and community groups to prioritize charity and volunteerism activities. In addition, the committee is responsible for coordinating programs and events each fiscal year, including Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), offering members an opportunity to give back.
Your interest and involvement is a welcome addition to our effort! For additional information about our upcoming events, or if you would like to become involved in the Community Relations Committee for NABA, Inc.’s Philadelphia Chapter, please contact us by emailing our Community Relations Chairperson Darrell Pacheco: firstname.lastname@example.org.
he NABA, Inc. Philadelphia Chapter is calling for volunteers to assist in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. What is it? The VITA Program offers free tax help to low to moderate-income individuals (generally, $49,000 and below) who cannot prepare their own tax returns.
Certified volunteers sponsored by various organizations receive training to help prepare basic tax returns in communities across the country. How do I help? Please click here to contact us. For IRS information on VITA and Free Tax Return Preparation for Qualifying Taxpayers please click here.
