What is our mission?
The mission of the National Association of Black Accountants is to address the professional needs of its members and to build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance professions with an unfaltering commitment to inspire the same in its successors.
Our vision this year is to “Invest in Us!” We want to be able to create unlimited opportunities and growth for minorities in accounting and related professions. Our goals are to focus on YOU!– our members, students and communities.

Financial Literacy Series
PassNow CPA study program
Collaborate with other local minority organizations
Student Mentorship program
Connecting with community involvement & local minority business initiatives
Increase our pipeline (target Delaware market)
Fundraise to support ACAP and student programs
In order to be successful, we need our members support. We encourage you to “Get Involved” by joining our organization and volunteer on a committee. We support our members with professional growth and leadership development opportunities.
We support our sponsors’ recruitment and retention efforts directed toward diverse professionals.
We provide a communication channel between our sponsors and NABA constituencies.
We coordinate targeted community outreach efforts via organizing events and partnering with community-based groups.
Through our Accounting Career Awareness Program, we encourage and assist minority students entering the accounting profession.
We demonstrate inclusion, promote cooperative relationships, and energize the organization’s value proposition.
ince the founding of NABA’s first chapter in 1970, membership has grown to more than 200 professional and student chapters across the country. Today, NABA’s membership includes diverse individuals in careers such as:
Entry and Mid-Level Accountants
Auditors and Financial Professionals
Senior Level Managers and Executives
Accounting, Finance and Business Students.
Approximately 51% of NABA’s members are employed in Corporate America, of whom 40% have advanced degrees and 45% hold professional certifications.

We are dedicated to uniting accountants and other business professionals, as well as accounting and business students, who are committed to professional and academic excellence. NABA, Inc. provides dynamic programming, social activities and community service opportunities which promote our goals and advance the professional experience and personal enrichment of our members.
