What is our mission?

The mission of the National Association of Black Accountants is to address the professional needs of its members and to build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance professions with an unfaltering commitment to inspire the same in its successors.

2018 Vision

Our vision this year is to “Invest in Us!”  We want to be able to create unlimited opportunities and growth for minorities in accounting and related professions.  Our goals are to focus on YOU!– our members, students and communities.

Below are some of the areas of focus this year:

  • Financial Literacy Series
  • PassNow CPA study program
  • Collaborate with other local minority organizations
  • Student Mentorship program
  • Connecting with community involvement & local minority business initiatives
  • Increase our pipeline (target Delaware market)
  • Fundraise to support ACAP and student programs

In order to be successful, we need our members support. We encourage you to “Get Involved” by joining our organization and volunteer on a committee.  We want to hear from you (ideas, concerns, success stories), contact us or send an email to contact@nabaphilly.org.  Help us help you in upholding our principle motto: Lifting As We Climb!

Please connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.

What do we do?

We support our members with professional growth and leadership development opportunities.

We support our sponsors’ recruitment and retention efforts directed toward diverse professionals.

We provide a communication channel between our sponsors and NABA constituencies.

We coordinate targeted community outreach efforts via organizing events and partnering with community-based groups.

Through our Accounting Career Awareness Program, we encourage and assist minority students entering the accounting profession.

We demonstrate inclusion, promote cooperative relationships, and energize the organization’s value proposition.
