The Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) is a career development program for minority high school students. In order to be eligible, an application, a current copy of your academic transcript and at least two counselor/teacher letters of recommendation must be received by the deadline, which is Thursday, January 31, 2019 for this fiscal year. What is the summer residency?
The primary objective of ACAP is to increase the understanding of accounting and finance career opportunities among high school students from underrepresented ethnic groups. Through ACAP‘s efforts, students receive educational enrichment and practical help for college preparation and a career in accounting. The annual program is held during the summer at a local college campus and is scheduled this fiscal year for June 23, 2019 through June 28, 2019.

Christina is a Senior Tax Analyst at Global Tax Management (GTM) in Wayne, PA. She is responsible for tax accounting and tax compliance at the federal, state and local levels for large corporate and pass-through entity clients.
Prior to joining GTM, Christina began her career at Ernst & Young. Prior to joining GTM, Christina began her career at Ernst & Young. She specialized in individual income tax compliance. Her career goal is to be a strong tax professional that fosters strong relationships with clients while providing quality service. She is currently working on obtaining her CPA license.
Christina is a Philadelphia resident who loves to work with children in her free time. She is a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, mentoring her “little sister” for over five years. She is also an active member of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). Since participating in the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) in high school, Christina has been very passionate about NABA and accounting. She looks forward to sharing her ACAP experience with students; and supporting youth and their interests in accounting as ACAP Director for the Philadelphia Chapter. She is a mom to two beautiful, out-going pit-bulls. Her stretch career goal is opening her own non-profit organization for young women interested in business.
Bridget R. Anderson
Bridget R. Anderson currently serves as the Secretary of ACAP in Philadelphia. She is currently employed with the City of Philadelphia, Water Department in the Office of Finance as an Accounting Supervisor. She graduated from Temple University with a BBA in Accounting and a minor in Management Information Systems. Bridget looks forward to educating ACAP students more about the many possibilities available in the business field.
Fund Development Chair
My name is Taahir Mackason and I am currently employed at PWC as a tax associate. I graduated from Widener University with a BSBA in Accounting. I look forward to getting to know more about the ACAP program and educating students about the various career paths in the business field.
Quyasia Clemons is a manager in Vanguard’s operations department leading her crew to success. She holds a series 7 and 63 license. Quyasia graduated from Temple University as an accounting major. At Temple she was a long time NABA member and joined the e-board her senior year. As a junior Quyasia was a student counselor for ACAP. After graduation in July of 2014, she began her Vanguard career taking part in a 15-month rotational leadership specialty program that eventually lead to her manager role.
Kimberly Crite currently serves as the Chair of ACAP Philadelphia. She is currently employed as a tax manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Wealth Management Tax Services Group. She graduated from Temple University with a BBA in Accounting. Kimberly looks forward to empowering the youth to reach their highest potential, no matter the circumstance, through her role of leading the ACAP Program.
